This Alliance penetrated core Cardassian space in 2352, with the strongholds of Loval and Atbar falling. Cardassia resolved to never give up, but the Third Battle of Cardassia in early 2353, which resulted in a decisive Cardassian defeat, caused a revolt across Cardassia, and negotiations to end the war.
